60's DDR Wool Sports Jacket Freiberger

Vintage sports jacket from East Germany (DDR).
Features "VEB" marking. VEB stands for "Volkseigener Betrieb," meaning "People's Own Enterprise," a state-owned enterprise and the main form of company used in East Germany's planned economy.

This classic silhouette features a thick wool twill body with metal zippers on the front and pockets.
It has the feel of an American vintage sports jacket, but with the ruggedness typical of Euro (East German) clothing.
It's perfect as a main outerwear piece for fall and winter, and also easy to layer under a coat.
