I've put as many photos as I can of hallmark as it's quite worn but have investigated it as much as I can J.W makers Mark is James Wintle (london) Active around 1854, often marked as "JW" in an oval Then Queen Victoria Mark/lion Mark/leopard The letter is hard to make out but it could be a k but basically the year is anywhere from 1876 to 1889 On the silver lid is featuring an engraved crest with a stag and the motto "Fidus et Fortis" The motto "Fidus et Fortis" is Latin for "Faithful and Brave". The stag motif and motto are historically associated with the Scottish Clan Duff. I hope I've given you enough information of what I've found
