Limited transparent green colored vinyl LP pressing. Dark: The album took it's first steps toward life in 2022. I made Still and Quantuuuum in a two week span at the end of November. Both ideas that had been bouncing around my head for some time. The album title in parallel had been something I was thinking about for about a year. Ideas of a sprawling, diverse project. The next Spring, while on tour, I made Ghost in the Shell and Pocket - Zzz and gggiiiiirrrrlllll came right after. I made a lot of music this time around. And through creating and abandoning, slowly the body started to form itself. The music at it's core feels like a double exposure. Different lives, moments, and emotions overlapping and cutting through each other. A nonchalant deep incision. The anxiety of proximity and the relief of perspective at once. Falling in love is terrifying and exhilarating, choosing love for yourself is selfish and kind. It is too easy to be defeatist in the 21st century. The glass is already broken. We must try to live. What else is there to do? The heart of the project is True. A manifesto on love. No compromise, no substitute. Resigning to the idea that you have to let it happen, falling in love with the world in the same breath. Care into the void and the void cares back. In making this music I felt totally crushed in moments - in others I felt reborn. There is beauty in both if you're looking for it. This music felt like the first time I ever jumped into deep water. Ready or not, trust me.
