I purchased this book from Shimada Books about 20 years ago and have stored it on my bookshelf for a long time.
It's a collector's guide featuring various types of handkerchiefs.
This book, shaped like an actual handkerchief, contains over 650 handkerchiefs from the 1940s to the early 1960s, all in full color. There are categories such as animals, food and drink, explanations and recipes, history and politics, flowers, music, the 50 states, holidays, proverbs, horoscopes, and advertisements. There is also a section on handkerchief care and decorative uses.
The photos of each handkerchief are vivid and enjoyable to look at, and the price ranges are also noted, which is interesting.

This is the perfect book for an afternoon tea time while looking at a Western book.
