Japanese Moriage Satsuma-style porcelain vase with a raised enamel design. The Moriage technique uses raised slip decoration to create a three-dimensional effect, often described as looking like cake frosting. Moriage ware was produced in Japan from the late 1800s to the mid-1900s, reflecting Western interest in Orientalism.
