Large Mexico Made Sterling Silver Malachite? Pendant

This is a very large pendant! It measures approximately 2" x 2" (including the bail) and the center stone measures approximately 1.5" x 1". We believe this is quite possibly a malachite stone. There are very very light striations that can be seen when in the exact right lighting but it is not visible at a glance and I can't get a photo of it because they are so light. The striations lead us to believe that this is not resin or plastic, but that is not a guarantee. The pendant is very heavy at 42.2g. It is in very good condition with some light scratches and dings and there are a few very small dark spots in the silver. There is a 925 silver mark on the back and the pendant is marked Mexico. The hole in the bail measures 0.4" across so this will accomodate a very thick chain. (Bin#MU1)
