This original, hand painted lacquered thick paper tole art was created by skilled cutting, shaping, and assembling pieces of three-dimensional paper layered under an emerging hand drawn then painted image. A intricately delicate, & extremely time consuming feat. Reminds me of an Aesops Fables caricature recalled from a childhood bedtime story. Signed on front by artist. I picked up this piece at a Port Angeles antique shop in 2008 when living there. Recently re-framed in a complimentary golden/pewter resin frame. Measures 14”x1.75”x14” & weighs 4.3#’s prior to packaging.
