Vintage P&G Model 201 Valve Gapper precision tool used for adjusting valves, setting injectors, and balancing racks on GMC diesel engines. Manufactured by P&G Mfg. Co., Portland, Oregon. This set includes all parts shown: the valve gapper assembly, dial indicator, barrels, adapter, spring assembly, and original paperwork housed in the dovetail wood storage case.
The gauge needle moves freely and returns to zero. The set is untested, sold as-is. The wooden case is solid with smooth-working hinges and latch; one corner shows slight separation at the dovetail joint. Marker writing is present on the inside lid.
