Insanely Rare Unproduced Prototype/Sample/Test Run Thermos Marvel Super Heroes Kids Backpack. Factory fresh & unused. This backpack was designed with an oversized front pocket to carry the lunchbox from the 1990 Marvel Super Heroes line that actually was produced. There was a lunchbox, drink Thermos, fanny pack & a snack cup all produced in various colors, with the same artwork.
Only a few samples like this one were produced in Hong Kong for the approval of management in the US, before mass production. But it was never approved. We own the only 2 we have ever seen & are hoping to share the love with a fellow collector by letting one of them go.
This one is kinda tough to get good pics of, due to the fact that the material they chose was very cheap/thin, probably to reduce the cost of producing the small batch of samples. It only has one flaw, a small stain at the top of the bag near the handle, which we know came from the factory...as our other one has the same exact mark.
