A pair of antique English transferware pieces in a gorgeous fish and bird pattern.
In the ""Devonshire"" pattern by Ridgway Potteries, a lovely aesthetic movement mix of geometric and natural images. Both carry the mark used c. 1880-1885.
The rimmed bowl measures 6 x 8 5/8 inches and is 1 3/4 inches deep. It's in good shape with a little wear commensurate with age.
The sauce boat measures just under 7 inches from handle to spout, and stands 3 1/4 inches tall. Has a very old crack near the handle, the spout is intact.
Lovely additions to your transferware collection. Listing is for both pieces.
