I am selling this unique brass hinged keepsake box in the shape of a duck. Designed using artisanal Indian dhokra metal casting technique, creating the distinctive wing and feather patterns.
Heavy and sturdy. Hinge operates loosely but smoothly. Clasp in front is tight. Inside is rough but clean. Four small felt buttons on the bottom protect the surface it sits on. Made of brass.
No markings to indicate age, artist, or provenance. Many similar items come from east-central India where dhokra is a folk art technique.
