ZeeVee HDb2840 4-Channel HDMI Digital Video Encoder

The ZeeVee HDB2840-NA is a digital video encoder and QAM modulator that converts up to four unencrypted HDMI sources into private high definition channels for distribution over the coaxial cable already running through your building. Any television with a QAM tuner can pull in those channels immediately, so you can add or move displays without extra receivers or set-top boxes.

Sports bars can keep several games on screen at once, campuses can push lectures and announcements to every classroom, and corporate offices can share live events or training across multiple floors. The unit accepts resolutions up to 1080p and preserves picture quality from the source to each display, letting viewers see crisp video wherever they are.

A fifth channel with 300 MB of internal storage is available for looping content such as menus, ads, or welcome messages. Emergency Alert System support is built in, and closed captioning can be added through the composite input, helping you meet safety and accessibility requirements without extra hardware.

Setup is straightforward. The front-panel color LCD gives quick access to status and basic settings, while the Maestro software and an Ethernet port allow full configuration and monitoring from a computer on the network. Once installed in a rack, the HDB2840-NA runs quietly and reliably around the clock.
